Healing and Christians
I know both how to have a little, and I know how to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content--whether well fed or hungry
Undoubtedly, one of the greatest Christian teachers that ever lived, is the Apostle Paul. Paul learned to experience contentment in all circumstances, or 'to become 'sound', which is the definition of healing.
Using his 'conscious-will' self (aided by the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth), he learned to apply the Truth, God's Word, to his thoughts/feelings (2 Corinthians 10:5), to serve others, and to be consistent in regular devotion. As Jesus said in John 8:32, it is the TRUTH that will set one free. Free from what? Free from dis-contentment (disappointment, dissatisfaction, unhappiness, agitation, upset, worry, discomfort, displeasure, misery, and sadness). Wouldn't it be great, if we could just wave a magic wand, and we could become content instantaneously? But, for some reason, only known by God, it's a life-long process of dying to our old-self, taking up our cross, and following Him.
